Losing weight can be a very difficult process. We are constantly bombarded with various diets which focus upon restricting what we eat and at the same time we are surrounded by fast food restaurants, food commercials and advertising. The aim of hypnotherapy for weight loss is to help you to feel confident about your body, change negative thoughts about eating and help you lose weight at a reasonable pace. By targeting the subconscious an hypnotherapist can help you to develop positive relationship with food and exercise. This weight loss programme enables you to discover what you eat, when you eat and it and most importantly why you eat. Is it because you are bored, frustrated, angry, happy, sad, fed up, lonely, feel you deserve a treat? It helps you to stay motivated and gives you strategies to tackle the reason for overeating. Many people eat mindlessly for instance whilst sitting in front of the television or more increasingly these days while on the computer or phone. Hypnotherapy helps us to be mindful about what we are eating and teaches us to enjoy it and be consciously aware of what we are eating. No food is banned it is not a diet. Many people have benefitted from losing weight this way and most importantly because they have discovered why they overeat and have used strategies to stop them overeating they are less likely to put the weight back on. Up to five sessions may be needed for this treatment.
